Summary

Full Job Description

You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (NUCLEAR) in the NUCLEAR QUALITY DIVISION (Code 2350) of PSNS and IMF.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning and administering quality assurance audits and surveillances for nuclear work to ensure conformance with procedural requirements and identify systemic deficiencies.

  • You will plan, develop or administer quality assurance audit and surveillance reports of Shipyard activities engaged in nuclear work.
  • You will plan systematic approaches designed to provide adequate confidence that products will conform to established requirements throughout the product's life.
  • You will inspect nuclear work facilities, procedures and workmanship, investigating/analyzing the results of those inspections and reporting to management.
  • You will evaluate replies to audit action items and deficiency reports by other Shipyard activities to ensure adequate depth of action and timely response.
  • You will report problems in assigned projects, organizations, and functions to managers/supervisors to assure the supervisor has timely knowledge of emergent problems/trends.
