Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves reviewing and analyzing reports of faulty products in the Navy's supply system to prevent issues in weapons and equipment, working with teams to fix problems and improve processes.

You will serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist (Mechanical) of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Experience working with internal and external stakeholders, in order to interact with engineering activities to resolve technical and/or quality assurance issues.
2) Incumbent must demonstrate leadership experience as a key member of cross functional teams in their efforts to resolve quality and/or logistical roadblocks.
3) Analyzing and evaluating reported deficiencies to determine if there is contractual noncompliance.
Incumbent must have knowledge and experience in using the Product Data Reporting and Evaluation Program (PDREP), and in acting as a screening point of contact for Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs).
4) Employee must have the ability to curate data from multiple sources and output in order to compile the information into management reports and have experience using specifications and/or engineering drawings.
5) Incumbent ensures that the information provided concerning defective material throughout its lifecycle is utilized to proactively prevent future problems in the acquisition and procurement process.
6) This position requires the incumbent to determine the extent of identified problems as related to other material in stock, execute appropriate courses of action to remediate and/or purge deficient material from stock.
