This candidate is a skilled QA Engineer with hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing within complex enterprise environments.

They are comfortable maintaining automated test suites, interpreting test results, and using system logs to diagnose issues with precision.

Requirements


Receive and analyze assigned work via Azure DevOps Services. This includes:


  • Attend daily Tax and Wage IT System’s functional team meetings to receive assigned work items and learn of upcoming work items


  • Review Azure DevOps Board daily for work items in flight on Tax and Wage IT Systems functional team


  • Create tasks on assigned work items for testing and staging verification


Define, maintain, execute, and report manual test cases via Azure DevOps Services. This includes:


  • Define test approach for assigned work using information gathered in analysis


  • Create test plans to formalize the test approach and record the test cases required for testing


  • Search Azure DevOps for test cases related to assigned work item


Develop and maintain automated test cases for Tax and Wage IT Systems Task:


  • Develop and maintain C# code at a journey application developer level for automated testing in Visual Studio IDE utilizing frameworks such as Selenium and Atata


  • Understand object-oriented programming principles used by application developers


  • Develop and maintain C# code at a journey application developer level for page objects that represent HTML pages and elements of the application’s GUI

Qualifications


  • 8 years of experience in the information technology field analyzing, testing, and/or maintaining software applications, or implementing software development projects and including testing experience in an Agile environment using testing and release management tools


  • OR Associate’s degree in Computer Science, information technology, or closed related field and 6 years of experience in the information technology field analyzing, testing, and/or maintaining software applications, or implementing software development projects and including testing experience in an Agile environment using testing and release management tools


  • OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, information technology, or closely related field and four 4 years of experience in the information technology field analyzing, testing, and/or maintaining software applications, or implementing software development projects and including testing experience in an Agile environment using testing and release management tools

Required equity competencies:

IT Experience may include experience in the following areas:

  • Software Development Practice in Programming: an object-oriented programming like but not limited to C# OR o a data language like but not limited to SQL OR a scripting language like but not limited to JavaScript OR an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) like but not limited to Visual Studio


  • Software Development Practice in Data Management: Creating, querying, and/or updating test data in a relational database OR Using file comparison tools and/or regular expressions to analyze, validate, and update delimited text files OR Generate test data, record test files, and validate test files using self-implemented solutions


  • Software Development Experience in: Object Oriented Programming (C#, Java, C++, Python) OR Application Lifecycle Management Tools (TFS, Azure DevOps, ALM, Jira) OR Scripting (Powershell, Windows Batch) OR Object Relational Mapping (Entity Framework, Hibernate, nHibernate) Code / Text Generation (T4, Razor), Serverless Databases (Azure Cosmos DB, Fauna DB, DynamoDB)

AND:
