Under the direction of the Administrative Coordinator, provides direction and supervision to the administrative support staff. Collaborates with all disciplines and administration to assure effectiveness and efficiency in provision of services in a culturally competent and customer friendly environment.

Supervises and instructs Preventive Health/Immunization team members, maintains audits, training records and Employee Performance Management Systems (EPMS) for individual staff. Provides documentation of regular feedback and appraisals of performance.

Meets, interviews, and directs public health clients in accordance with program policies. Processes information completes medical records and enters all client information into applicable electronic applications. Answer telephones and schedule appointments as needed. Follows established guidelines with regard to customer service and cultural competency.

Ensures that staff comply with program and agency guidelines. Verify compliance with agency guidelines for billing, medical records, Cerner, and other documentation. Attends relevant program and agency training and meetings. Confirms necessary materials and resources are available for Preventive Health/Immunization Administration Staff. Prepares and submits required reports. Completes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

MINIMUM AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:


State Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.

Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Agency Additional Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years responsible administrative support supervisory experience; or associate degree in related field and three (3) years' experience; or high school diploma or general education diploma and four (4) years of responsible administrative experience.

Agency experience and proven ability may be substituted for supervisory experience.

Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications, subject to approval by the DPH Chief Human Resources Officer, or their delegate.

Qualifications

DRIVING RECORD: If this position requires the applicant to possess a valid driver’s license to operate a state vehicle or personal vehicle, any applicant being considered in the final stages of selection for the position will be required to provide a certified copy of a 10-year driving record.
