Base salary range: $88,520 - $115,079

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading teams to design, build, and test advanced systems for submarines, managing budgets, risks, and coordination with various partners in the Navy.
It's a supervisory role overseeing everything from planning to execution of complex undersea projects.
A good fit would be someone with engineering or technical experience in naval systems, strong leadership skills, and the ability to handle big-picture strategy while communicating effectively.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (GS-13 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: technical experience and acumen in broad aspects of submarine design and integration, robotics, software architecture, hydrodynamics, HM&E systems, platform integration, structural integrity, and vessel stability; experience leading and managing multidisciplinary teams in translating strategic goals into the execution of complex projects/programs; and ability to effectively communicate and manage program progress, reporting, and risks.
