Full Job Description

You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DIVISION of PACIFIC MISSILE RANGE FACILITY.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing, planning, and directing a range and test facility program (e.g.

budget preparation, resource allocation, long range planning, systems acquisition, technical development) to support system capabilities, operational programs, and mission requirements.

  • You will serve as the Department Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) Project Manager, responsible for the overall management, control, coordination and execution of assigned MRTFB projects and other range modernization projects.
  • You will analyze a wide range of past and present Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) program statistics and financial data to establish financial and budgetary goals.
  • You will develop and maintain a system for managing interrelating program planning data which provides a perspective of the total program planning situation that assists the Range Commander/Technical Director in program planning and decision making.
  • You will prepare planning guidance for the program in accordance with higher headquarters program policies, objectives, and goals.
  • You will participate in program reviews and provide program data and briefs to the Division Heads and Range Technical Director, as well MRTFB program representatives.
  • You will research new methods of planning and estimating budgetary needs and explore alternative methods of funding.
  • You will develop and integrate budget and program planning activities to provide the most effective means for supporting and defending vital technology efforts
  • You will review, analyze, verify, and record cost accumulations and notify Project Engineers and/or systems owners, of variances with approved program budget estimates.
  • You will perform special assignments as directed involving planning, coordinating, and facilitating range projects.
