Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading efforts to ensure the Navy's ships and equipment are ready for wartime operations, including planning maintenance, prioritizing deployments, and creating policies for repair teams.

Key Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12/13 or NH-3 in developing or implementing wartime readiness program policies

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-3 pay band (GS-12/13 grade level) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing or implementing wartime readiness program policies to plan for maintenance or repair capabilities for the establishment of ship deployment prioritization.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will serve as the Enterprise Warfighting Readiness Lead.
  • You will provide guidance to plan for Expeditionary Maintenance and Repair Capabilities.
  • You will lead exercise planning, integration, and participation in large-scale exercises coordinated by higher echelons.
  • You will conduct business case analyses to determine the best approach to establishing a uniform program for the Regional Maintenance Centers (RMCs).
  • You will develop Enterprise Level Metrics and Business Measures to define the wartime readiness program and measure key performance indicators.
  • You will develop Mission Requirements and Policy in coordination with key stakeholders.
  • You will establish ship deployment prioritization, developing training for RMC personnel, and implementing tools to improve effectiveness.
  • You will establish Battle Damage Assessment and Repair (BDAR) team requirements.
