Job Description

Summary

This job involves advising senior leaders on strategic planning for the Navy's security cooperation efforts, including developing long-term plans, managing projects, and handling foreign military sales processes.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST, STRATEGIC PLANNER in the ASSISTANT SECRETARY OF THE NAVY (ASN) RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT, AND ACQUISITION (RD&A) DIVISION of NIPO FMS FIELD OFFICE.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-3 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: *Experience with DOD and DON strategic planning, policies, and procedures governing Security Cooperation.

*Experience with the process of development and coordination of DON Security Cooperation planning initiatives. *Experience working Navy programs and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) process.

  • You will serve as an expert and advisor to senior level personnel in the organization and/or directorate regarding strategic planning and alignment with Department of Navy and Department of Defense.
  • You will manage, lead, plan, and organize studies/projects.
  • You will develop detailed strategic plans, goals, and objectives for long-range implementation and program administration.
  • You will identify and develop ways to resolve problems or cope with issues that affect the accomplishment of assigned program goals and objectives.
  • You will develop briefing materials and conduct meetings briefings.
  • You will independently work to assess customer needs and develop innovative approaches to satisfy customers.
