Base salary range: $88,520 - $115,079
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-12. Expert-level knowledge in field.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves helping the Navy communicate and coordinate with Congress on policies, programs, and legislation, including preparing for hearings and advising leaders on strategic plans.
It supports the Chief of Naval Operations by managing tasks, reviewing proposals, and ensuring everything aligns with Navy priorities.
A good fit would be someone with government or military experience in policy, strong writing skills, and the ability to handle sensitive projects under pressure.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as: Working legislative processes; specifically, congressional inquiries, hearing preparations, and congressional briefings.
Developing strategic plan documentation and briefs for Flag and Senior Executive Service personnel.
Utilizing PBIS, ETMS2, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint systems Drafting POAMs and establishes long-range direction for congressional engagements and strategic narratives.
Advising leadership on matters of administration and serves the expert on matters of policy with regard to professional correspondence and Congressional protocol.
Recommending the development or modification to program(s) of record based upon new or revised legislation with due consideration of short and long-range effects.
