About the Position: This position supports the mission of the J-8, Financial Operations Directorate and is located in San Antonio, Texas or Falls Church, Virginia.

A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Major Duties:

  • Develop policies, regulations, directives, and procedures for Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) operations.
  • Coordinate findings, recommendations, and guidance regarding policies and procedure changes.
  • Create and provide formal and informal briefings to various audiences.
  • Receive, research, analyze and prepare responses to inquiries relating to programs.
  • Develop, monitor and validate a variety of Uniform Business Office (UBO) metrics used to evaluate individual Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) and overall program effectiveness and compliance.
  • Conduct substantial operational and compliance audits on medical claims billing, collections and related revenue cycle processes to identify irregularities, trends impacting collections, and missed recovery opportunities.
