DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe Administrative Specialist reports to the Administration Manager of the Mayor’s Office for Adult Literacy (MOAL).
This position supports the administrative functions of the office in the achievement of its goals and is responsible for coordinating digital communications for the office.
Perform other duties as delegated by the MOAL Administration Manager including handling issues and information of a highly sensitive nature.
Willing to work the following schedule Monday - Sunday - 8a.m. - 8p.m. *includes evenings and weekends.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
(3) Three years of administrative experience are required. Professional administrative experience may be substituted for the above education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Experience with adult literacy or adult education program administration preferred.
Candidate must have good writing and communications skills and the ability to create reports and presentations.
Experience with professional social media posting and overseeing social media campaigns.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and incoming requests
Must have a positive attitude, the ability to perform responsibilities without constant oversight and work as a member of the team.
To better serve our diverse community, bilingual skills are preferred.
Be willing to obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days of hire.
