Specialized Experience GS-0343-14 Program Analyst: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing complex policy issues to provide recommendations and/or solutions to senior leadership, managing the development of organizational publications and/or guidance, and leading project teams on policy matters.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Major Duties:

  • Maintains constant situational awareness of Department of Defense wide policy changes.
  • Addresses policy shortfalls, limitations, and other conditions that might impact the Defense Health Agency.
  • Conducts technical reviews to provide resolution of complex policy formulation issues.
  • Provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
  • Collaborates with organizations and individuals to ensure effective interagency partnerships.
  • Prepares and disseminates project findings to senior leadership.
