Base salary range: $74,441 - $96,770
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-11. Advanced degree + significant experience.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves analyzing and improving programs within the Navy's information forces, including leading teams, developing policies, and creating metrics to support strategic planning and decision-making.
A good fit would be someone with experience in project management and process optimization in a government or military setting, who enjoys collaborating across organizations to drive efficiency and long-term goals.
You will serve as a Program Analyst in the Plans and Strategic Initiatives Department of NAVAL INFORMATION FORCES.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience successfully leading cross organizational teams. Experience performing business process analyses.
Experience implementing process improvements. Experience developing policy and governance. Experience determining and codifying metrics to help focus and drive high-level decision making.
Experience and in-depth experience and demonstrated success as a program/project manager.
Experience and knowledge of the Department of War/Department of the Navy (DOW/DON) construct and the role of the Type Commander would be most beneficial.
Experience and possess process improvement/six sigma skills, metrics analysis, critical thinking and collaboration as well as written and verbal communication skills.
Experience applying knowledge of Navy Program Objective Memorandum/Budget Estimate submission (POM/BES) process, planning, programming and Budgeting System, acquisition/procurement processes, and command program management concepts.
