This job involves analyzing and ensuring the quality of maintenance data for Navy ships, including reviewing inspections, validating repair information, and preparing reports on program performance.

Key Requirements

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Program Analyst in the Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV) of PRESINSURV NORVA.

This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service (For GS-12) Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Resume must demonstrate the following specialized experience: Experience planning, analyzes, and audits department is the Quality Assurance (QA) of maintenance actions uploaded to ships for tracking and repair.

Experience maintaining quality assurance of maintenance, reviewing, and validating all the deficiency data collected during The Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV) Material Inspections (MI).

Experience working a large volume, at least forty, inspections as well as conducting 49,600 maintenance actions.

Experience verifying the correct configuration data utilized such as but not limited, Record Identification Number (RIN), equipment nomenclature, equipment location, etc.) to generate a valid maintenance action.

Experience communicating, documenting deficiencies written in order to provide clear and sufficient information to assist ships in repair.

Experience providing training and feedback to the inspectors for improvement in future inspections for accurate accounts of deficiencies requiring repair.

  • You will perform pre-inspection audits, process and validate supporting data uploaded to PRISMS.
  • You will review and validate post-inspection data for subsequent use in inspection reports, for upload to MIDATA warehouse, and posting to Current Ships Maintenance Project (CSMP).
  • You will provide findings and brief sheets, which will be updated periodically.
  • You will compile and analyze data in a comprehensive report to provide results of program effectiveness to the Director of Plans and Analysis for use in the command’s annual report.
  • You will retrieve and interpret a large volume of complex data from a variety of sources, analyze results with statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
