Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing daily production schedules, tracking inventory, and ensuring smooth operations in a naval aircraft maintenance facility.

You'll release work orders, coordinate with teams, and analyze data to spot delays or improvements in assembly and supply processes.

GS-05 $46,533-$60,494 / GS-07 $57,641-$74,935 FOR GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying knowledge of production methods and planning, inventory control, material processes and assembly/supply operations utilized by production shops; Compiling production work data to analyze production operations to determine if schedules are being followed, if they can be improved, and to determine the cause of production delays; Using automated records and control systems to weigh impact of variables such as cost, lead time and due dates; AND Reviewing and analyzing work orders/dispatch list requirements, manpower availability, work center capacity, and report any issues/deficiencies.

FOR GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing production planning, inventory control, and supply operations' methods, practices and procedures to support production shop activities; Processing work order requests and dispatch list requirements; AND Compiling production work data to assist in analyzing production operations.

  • You will be responsible for executing the daily detailed work order releases or dispatch list requirements for the cognizant work centers.
  • You will coordinate work order and dispatch list execution with other Production Controllers.
  • You will introduce, via the appropriate contacts, emergent requirements (i.e., Discrepancy Work Order (DWO), Quality Deficiency Report (QDR), etc.) that fall within allowable time buckets.
  • You will verify all workload within cognizant work center for completeness of paperwork prior to routing.
