Base salary range: $41,966 - $54,557
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-6. Bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement or 1 year graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves managing the repair, overhaul, and production of naval aircraft components to keep military fleets operational on time and within budget.
You'll coordinate with teams to decide on fixes or replacements, handle parts shortages through careful resource sharing, and ensure everything meets safety standards.

You will serve as a AIRCRAFT PRODUCTION SPECIALIST in the MRO LOGISITICS DEPARTMENT of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Understanding of aircraft, engines, components, and systems involved in the overhaul and repair process; 2) Controlling, coordinating and expediting the timely and efficient repair or replacement of inoperable or high time components to meet or exceed depot/customer production requirements and deadlines; 3) Identifying proper custodian of aircraft having defective or high time components; 4) Communicating with Type Commanders (TYCOMs), MRO Production Aircraft Branch Teams, and feeder shops to determine which is more cost-effective, repair or replacement; 5) Performing controlled cannibalization to alleviate material shortages.
