Full Job Description


The Office of the Governor, Division of Administrative Services, is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our team in Juneau!

What you will be doing:

This position has wide and varying duties so you will never be bored. This position assists the lead Procurement staff with the management and oversite of various procurements and other customer service functions for the department. This position prepares, processes, and administers purchase orders, delivery orders, telephone service requests, building maintenance requests, contract extensions, encumbering contractual obligations, obtaining quotes, and notices of award. Other duties may include reviewing and assisting with office relocations and assisting with construction oversite during renovation projects.

  • Knowledge of the state's Integrated Resource Information System (IRIS) is desired.

Requirements

One-year of professional procurement experience including developing specifications, soliciting price quotes, issuing contracts, and working with end users and suppliers.

Alaska Driver's License.

Substitutions: A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply management, or another related field may substitute for professional work experience.
