The Property Management Division (PMD) serves three primary functions for the agency; Facilities Management, Fleet Management, and Supply Management. The Property Management Division is responsible for providing comprehensive facilities management through the capital and operating budget process.

Requirements

This position supports the Supply Section Mission and goals as the Procurement and Supply Specialist 3. All procurement staff in the Supply Section provide support to any bureau, division, section in the agency.
This position provides primary support to the following:
• Property Management Division
• Investigative Assistance Division
• NW HIDTA
This position conducts higher level, and more complicated procurements that are required to be competitively bid, or sole source acquisitions, or emergency procurements.

This position acts as the primary contact and purchaser of commodities for the above listed Divisions/Units. This position also purchases commodities for various other divisions/ sections as required. This position serves as a backup for the Procurement and Supply Specialist 2’s (PSS2) assigned to the section. This position will purchase commodities following guidelines outlined by the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services (DES), The Washington State Office of Financial Management (OFM), state laws and regulations defined in the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and Washington Administrative Code (WAC), as well as agency standards and policy.

Our new teammate will be able to:
  • Review purchase request for agency compliance
  • Identify procurement methodologies to maintain compliance with RCW's and DES procurement policies
  • Originate and finalize varying types of procurements to include but not limited to complex procurements, competitive solicitations and sole source procurements
  • Research new sources

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years experience as a Procurement and Supply Specialist 2( full time experience as purchasing professional will substitute year for year)
