Full Job Description

You will serve as a POSTAL OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the Mail Facility of Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), Fleet Logistics Center (FLC), Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing the timely receipt, proper distribution and dispatch of US Mail and providing support for other postal services such postal operations, postal inspections and policy recommendation for postal training to ensure agencies comply with postal regulations (e.g.

USPS, DOD, DON). NOTE: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for this position.

  • You will serve as a senior analyst and SME assisting in managing the postal program.
  • You will establish an effective communications system to provide information and guidance on the most economical and efficient class for all mail dispatched.
  • You will assist Regional Postal Manager to conduct periodic training to ensure that all personnel who prepare, classify, and input mail into tracking systems are in compliance with current regulatory requirements.
  • You will create and implements internal mail policies and updates to meet evolving requirements as necessary.
  • You will ensure the proper use of official mail resources by establishing and maintaining controls on postal/mail expenditures.
  • You will serve as the hand receipt holder for assigned postal equipment; responsible for supplies, services, and maintenance.
