You will need to attach a resume and answer supplemental questions.About the position: The Parking Technology Coordinator I holds a vital role in the Operations Section of the Parking Technologies Program. They coordinate and support the delivery of the City’s parking systems program by organizing, evaluating, and implementing operational and administrative functions.
About the division/bureau:The Parking and Regulatory Operations Division manages the operations of 2100 parking pay stations, Parking Kitty zones, a mobile payment app, parking customer service, and technology integration.
We are responsible for making sure that our parking system can deliver multiple parking programs, events, and rate changes throughout the year, provide responsive customer service, and process over 8 million transactions annually.
What you’ll get to do:
- Coordinate day-to-day operations of the parking technologies programs, including the implementation of program and rate changes, event schedules updates, system access, and software updates.
- Support pay station, mobile parking payment zone, and pay by text inventory management. Coordinate parking installation/removal and its corresponding pay station, Parking Kitty zone, and pay-by-text terminal, and their integration with the Parking Enforcement system.
- Support the delivery, operations, and maintenance of parking payment programs, including parking payment cards, merchant validation, and other related products and services to meet compliance and required deadlines.
- Update and maintain parking databases. Organize and provide various parking-related data and reports.
- Support and coordinate special projects and oversee the work of contractors as needed.
- Support the parking program customer service, such as providing and explaining parking rules and regulations to parking customers, and processing citation dismissal requests and transaction refund requests.
An Ideal Candidate: will have knowledge and experience in managing and coordinating the operation of parking rates and programs as well as working with multiple internal and external stakeholders, vendors, to support parking programs.

Requirements

- Experience maintaining and updating specialized datasets, such as parking rates, schedules, and programs.
- Ability to learn, understand, and work with multiple parking systems, databases, back-office, and reporting systems.
- Experience working with and maintaining good working relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience adhering to complex technical procedures, security guidelines, and regulations.
- Experience providing customer service, communicating and explaining complex technical information, and parking regulations.
Additional Requirements:- A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
