Base salary range: $74,441 - $96,770

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves analyzing military strategies and creating plans to help U.S.
Navy surface ships operate effectively in combat and non-combat situations, while advising commanders on their strengths and weaknesses against enemies.
You'll collaborate with other teams, forecast future needs, and sometimes travel on ships to give direct advice.
It's a great fit for someone with military or defense experience who enjoys strategic thinking, problem-solving, and working in a team to support naval operations.
You will serve as a OPERATIONS & PLANS SPECIALIST in the SURFACE WARFARE TECHNICAL DIVISION of NSMWDC DET DAHLGREN.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing tactical strategies and developing operational guidance for U.S.
Navy surface units to make recommendations regarding fleet capabilities in support of combat and non-combat military operations.
