About the Position: This position is in support of the Operations Branch under the Defense Health Agency located in Falls Church, Virginia.

Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Leave accrual negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing briefs to deliver to directors; AND generating various report types for review by management (i.e. i.e.

Serious Incidents Reports, Operational Reports, Operational Directives, etc.); AND utilizing automated systems for message review; AND advising management on operational procedures.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Major Duties:

  • Gather and consolidate operational data and information from a wide variety of sources, including internal and external partners.
  • Conduct analysis of operational information to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and emerging threats relevant to the organization's mission.
  • Develop and disseminate written products, including operational summaries, informational papers, and formal reports, to inform leadership.
  • Monitor the operational environment and current events to understand the context and potential impacts on the organization.
  • Deliver timely and relevant analysis to senior watch personnel and leadership to support their decision-making processes.
  • Work with a variety of stakeholders to share information, coordinate activities, and validate analytical assessments.
  • Respond to requests for information (RFIs) from a variety of stakeholders.
