GS7 One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-5) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as: experience applying administrative policies, practices to support the administrative functions of an organization.
GS9 One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-7) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as: Experience with 1) domestic and international travel; 2) providing advice to high level faculty/staff/students of administrative policies; and 3) preparing standardized documents.
GS11 One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-9) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as: applying administrative management policies, regulations, and procedures to collaborate with budget or resource management for personnel staffing needs; providing training and assistance to other administrative support positions; advising others on regulations and instructions, answering questions and remedying standard problems referred by organizational leadership or management.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.
To be considered for the GS-7, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-5 or higher in the Federal service.
To be considered for the GS-9, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-7 or higher in the Federal service.
To be considered for the GS-11, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-9 or higher in the Federal service.
