As a Mission Support Specialist, you will serve as an advisor, involving administrative, technical, and analytical duties, and special assignments related to the mission and function of the Office of Access and Information Services.

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 03/06/2026.

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service.

The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 03/06/2026.

GS-12: You qualify at the GS-12 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.

You must have experience performing the following duties: Planning, scheduling, and executing major projects or programs related to staffing, time and attendance, training, and other mission support portfolios.

Reviewing, analyzing and interpreting information, and regulations to identify operational concerns.

Pivoting with changes to priorities to ensure mission requirements and program deadlines are accomplished on time.

Compiling, consolidating, organizing, and summarizing information related to the mission of the organization in both oral and written format.

GS-13: You qualify at the GS-13 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.

  • Performs any of several vital functions or services such as human resources coordination, purchasing, time and attendance, and travel.
  • Applies substantive knowledge of human resources principles, concepts, laws, regulations, techniques, and guidelines in support of the staffing and organizational needs of the Office of Access and Information Services.
  • Provides a wide range of liaison services to support administrative and operational privacy aspects for a significant agency component.
  • Identifies problem areas, analyzes situations, recommends viable solutions, and prepares reports as required.
  • Interprets and recommends office policies, procedures, and management processes consistent with applicable laws and regulations.
