Full Job Description
This is an at-will, partisan position who plays a key role in Republican Caucus membership.
The individual must demonstrate the ability to deal effectively with the complex, difficult situations that are common in the high-pressure environment serving Members and their respective staff.
The individual must be able to work closely with all members, staff, the other branches of government, community members, and interest groups.
Due to the nature of the position, a high level of confidentiality is required.
Requirements
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Acts as a liaison for a slate of State Representatives
- Maintains close communication with assigned offices
- Focuses on carrying out the caucus' legislative goals
- Researches, prioritizes, and responds to incoming issues to determine the appropriate response
- Works with assigned member offices to plan and carry out the individual members’ and caucus priorities
- Works on a team with other advisors and collaborates caucus services needs with other staff within the central staff departments
- Develops and executes paid media strategies and tactics regarding constituent outreach, messaging, and provides corresponding audiences supported by data
- Monitors activity in the House and Senate and engages in long-term and short-term planning
- Maintains accurate data for assigned members
- Drafts and executes a paid advertising strategy
- Performs other duties assigned
