This job involves leading a team to manage and organize medical records for inmates in a state prison, ensuring everything is accurate, private, and up-to-date while preparing reports and handling transfers.
You'll supervise daily tasks, check records for errors, and sometimes present information in court.
It's a great fit for someone detail-focused with experience in health records who wants a stable government role in a correctional setting.

As a Medical Records Supervisor, you will oversee the development and maintenance of inmate medical records.
You will lead and work alongside staff completing operational duties, review work assignments, and ensure timely completion.
You will organize, maintain, and monitor the integrated health record system; code diseases, operations, special therapies, and program services; and prepare statistical reports on morbidity, mortality, and utilization of services.
This role requires strong organization skills and effective communication to review medical records and reports for accuracy as well as refer incomplete health care records back to physicians, dentists, and nursing staff for revisions.
In addition, you will prepare records for inmates paroling or transferring from the institution, serve as a member of the Medical Department Quality Assurance Committee, and present medical records in court cases as required.
