About the Position: The position is located within the Dunham US Army Health Clinic, Carlisle Barracks, PA. Primary duty hours are 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Incumbent can expect to work primarily within the clinical treatment areas and logistics branch building.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes installing, maintaining, and/or repairing medical equipment and/or systems; operating test, measurement, and/or diagnostic equipment to test and/or calibrate medical equipment and/or systems; and conducting preventative maintenance checks on medical equipment and/or systems.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Compliance Data Management Electrical Standards Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).

Major Duties:

  • Perform repairs, overhaul, troubleshoot and testing of medical equipment and any peripheral devices.
  • Ensure equipment is compliant with the most stringent standard, manufacturer’s literature, or regulatory guidance.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance checks and services inspections of medical equipment.
  • Install general medical equipment, to include complex medical and peripheral devices.
  • Conduct testing to ensure operability, efficiency, and compliance with existing standards.
  • Ensure that hardware and software are functioning properly and that operating standards are met.
  • Review, evaluate, and fine tune components to achieve peak efficiency within the overall network.
