Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves working as a mechanical engineer for the U.S. Navy in Washington state, where you'll plan and lead projects to upgrade and maintain heavy lifting equipment used in naval operations.
You'll provide expert advice on equipment issues, testing, and improvements to ensure everything runs smoothly for the fleet.

You will serve as a MECHANICAL ENGINEER in the ENGINEERING & PLANNING DEPARTMENT, ENGINEERING DIVISION of Trident Refit Facility (TRF), Bangor, WA.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of professional specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer providing technical direction and oversight by planning and coordinating mechanical engineering projects to support the successful procurement and upgrade of weight handling equipment.
