Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff to manage and maintain infrastructure at a naval facility, including planning investments, overseeing repairs and inspections, and handling budgets and personnel.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a MANAGER in the Corporate Operations Department (10), Infrastructure Division (102), Infrastructure Support Branch (1022) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer, leading in infrastructure investment and maintenance programs and providing oversight to facility operations (e.g.

inspection, testing, maintenance activities; repair activities) to support the technical, personnel, or financial management functions ensuring compliance over a wide range of facility programs.

  • You will serve as the branch manager of the Infrastructure Support Branch responsible for a staff consisting of engineers, technicians, administrative, and maintenance mechanic personnel.
  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive infrastructure management plans for the Command.
  • You will act as a liaison between the Command, Navy Installations Command, and Naval Facilities Engineering Command on all facilities operations and maintenance matters.
  • You will be responsible for the internal facilities operations and maintenance management.
  • You will be responsible for all technical, human capital, and financial management matters within the Branch.
