Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team of engineers and analysts to collect, process, and evaluate data from military exercises, while also managing personnel, budgets, and strategic initiatives for the Navy.

It's a senior management role focused on improving engineering projects through testing and analysis.

You will serve as a MANAGER in the Operational Test Analysis and Assessments Branch of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project.

The ND-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalency), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer or scientist analyzing test and evaluation results for the development of an engineering project or program.

  • You will lead engineering, technical and contractor personnel in the execution of exercise data collection, data reduction/formatting, data reconstruction, exercise evaluation and analysis, and development of data reconstruction and analysis tools.
  • You will perform supervision duties as it relates to personnel management, hiring, counseling, development and succession planning.
  • You will be a resource manager with fiduciary responsibilities.
  • You will ensure the proper assessment and accreditation of C24 Division information systems.
  • You will be a member of the management team for execution of Command and Department initiatives for business development, strategic planning and partnerships.
