The Department of Labor & Industry is seeking a Management Technician to join the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC).
In this role, you will help safeguard the integrity of Pennsylvania’s workers’ compensation system by overseeing civil and criminal collection activities involving liens, assessments, repayment agreements, and criminal restitution.
This is more than a processing role! It is an opportunity to apply critical thinking, financial analysis, and professional communication skills to resolve complex compliance matters and ensure funds are properly recovered and allocated.

As a Management Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting collections and compliance activities.
This involves communicating with employers, representatives, and legal counsel regarding outstanding liabilities and repayment obligations while initiating and monitoring collection efforts.
Work involves reviewing and completing tasks within the Workers’ Compensation Automation and Integration System (WCAIS), tracking repayment agreements and initiating contact with employers to resolve delinquent accounts.
You will be responsible for analyzing legal and financial documents, coordinating with investigative and legal staff, and assisting in the negotiation of repayment agreements.
In this role, you will also have the opportunity to prepare correspondence and invoices, monitor compliance with payments plans, and refer non-compliant employers for further investigation for legal action.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will be expected to report on-site 2 days per week.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
