Full Job Description

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S.

Border Patrol, Strategic Planning & Analysis Directorate (SPAD), located in Washington, DC.

Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Reviewing and evaluating audit or inspection action plans to identify deficiencies, discrepancies, or vulnerabilities and recommending modifications to achieve organizational objectives.

Assessing program data, audit findings, and risk information utilizing established performance metrics to measure operational effectives and compliance with internal and external oversight entities (e.g.

Government Accountability Office, Office of Inspector General, etc.).

Preparing and delivering reports and impact statements of audit findings to senior leadership and advising on risks and requirements to ensure internal compliance protocols.

Coordinating with internal stakeholders gather information, respond to audit and inspection findings, and provide training and guidance on audit, inspection, and compliance requirements.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is a federal law enforcement agency that requires all applicants to undergo a thorough background investigation prior to employment in order to promote the agency's core values of vigilance, service to country, and integrity.

As a Management and Program Analyst, you will plan, conduct, and participate in audits and inspections and provide advice to managers.

This position starts at a salary of $121,785.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $158,322.00 (GS-13, Step 10).
