Full Job Description

You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT in the SURFACE WARFARE OFFICERS SCHOOL COMMAND, NEWPORT, RI of SURFACE WARFARE OFFICERS SCHOOL Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Coordinates and manages the production of the training course conveying and graduation dates; 2) Provides guidance on policy standards for quota management, training support, and student support and management; 3) Receives verifies, and corrects student input data for authentication; and 4) Verifies receipt of orders for graduates and makes student entry into database for accuracy.

  • You will analyze, verify, and correlate basic data to support studies and surveys, including budget preparation, planning and justification.
  • You will liaise with SWOS N8 staff by providing training activity data and Learning Site information from various sources to support development of financial analyses, POM inputs, and other long range fiscal planning projects.
  • You will communicate with other organizations to resolve problems or concerns.
  • You will review documents for accuracy (e.g. spelling, punctuation, required formats and syntax) to identify and correct grammatical errors.
  • You will verify the accuracy of information on paper or computer documents or records.
