This job involves analyzing human resources programs, tracking workforce trends, and creating reports to support policy changes in the Department of Defense.
It focuses on reviewing data and evaluating initiatives to ensure effective human capital management.

This position is located in the Department of Defense (DoD), Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Human Resources Directorate (HRD), Policy and Administrative Support Division (P&ASD).
P&ASD is made-up of three branches: Policy, Administrative and American Sign Language Interpreters (ASLIP).
Duties within Policy Branch include responsibilities related to HR regulatory and policy changes across the 4th Estate and serviced population.
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability to: 1.Provide expert analysis and conduct continuous review, analyses and evaluation of various HR program areas, workforce trends, and key human capital initiatives.; AND 2.
Monitor data collection and the production and distribution of a variety of management reports and information papers.; AND 3.
Perform comprehensive analytical studies and thoroughly research data to determine applicability and the impact on current programs.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Serve as an advisor and technical expert to the Office of the Director of Administration and Management (ODA&M) and Fourth Estate, and WHS customer base performing continuous coordination and follow-up as appropriate to assist in the timely accomplishment of the myriad of human resources related programs and activities.
Provide guidance and assistance concerning all areas of human capital management to include workforce strategic planning initiatives, management succession plans, strategic directions, regulations, policies and laws.
Build and maintain partnerships with working program and functional representatives in the accomplishment of DoD Enterprise and WHS/HRD goals and objectives.
