Full Job Description

You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist on the Support Equipment (SE) Fleet Team (FST) FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST (FRCSW) For GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying progressive working knowledge of the theories and principles of life cycle logistics management and maintenance processes for the development and execution of fleet operations in an environment dealing with Support Equipment (SE), Automated Test Equipment (ATE), or similar complex aviation systems; 2) Employing logistics information systems and standard office software to execute foundational product support tasks, such as tracking inventory, processing supply requests, and reviewing technical documentation; 3) Gathering and analyzing relevant data to identify the root cause of routine logistics issues and recommend potential solutions; 4) Communicating technical findings and logistics recommendations, which includes preparing and delivering informal presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

For GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying foundational knowledge of the theories and principles of life cycle logistics management or maintenance processes in an environment dealing with Support Equipment (SE), Automated Test Equipment (ATE), or similar complex technical systems; 2) Employing standard office software to assist in the execution of foundational product support tasks, such as tracking inventory, processing supply requests, and reviewing technical documentation; 3) Assisting in gathering and analyzing relevant data to identify the cause of routine logistics issues and support the development of potential solutions; 4) Communicating, orally and in writing, technical information and status updates to team members, supervisors, and internal stakeholders.

  • You will maintain communication and business relationships with internal customers and external entities to collaborate on meeting customer support and sustainment requirements.
  • You will perform developmental assignments in life cycle logistics management and operational program analysis.
  • You will resolve logistics problems by gathering facts, defining and exploring problems, and developing alternative solutions to issues addressed in Integrated Product Support (IPS) plans.
  • You will independently perform work assignments which gradually increase in difficulty and complexity.
  • You will draft or prepare a variety of document to include newsletter items, responses to routing inquiries, reports, letters, and other related documents.
