This job involves analyzing programs related to travel and tourism communications at U.S.
Customs and Border Protection, including researching laws and policies, preparing reports, and briefing leaders on progress to ensure initiatives run smoothly.

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S.
Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations (OFO), Admissibility and Passenger Programs, Travel and Tourism Communications Center Division.
Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
Experience: You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Conducting research on relevant laws, precedents, policies and procedures to support the effectiveness of current program initiatives, supporting the development of new program initiatives, and preparing strategies and recommendations for leadership.
Authoring comprehensive program reports, summarizing data analysis, findings, and recommendations for leadership review and decision-making.
Analyzing complex program data to be utilized in studies, reviews, evaluations, and assessments of program.
Utilizing program qualitative and quantitative methods to assess progress toward program goals and objectives and briefing leadership on progress, ensuring all deliverables were completed on time and aligned with organizational goals.
Independently prioritizing daily and weekly tasks and developing a detailed work plan to manage multiple program analysis tasks, and long-range planning and development of strategies.

You will serve as an advisor to senior officials on organizational performance and program effectiveness.
By enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of OFO programs and operations, you will directly support CBP's ability to accomplish its mission requirements.

In this position you will design and execute complex analytical projects, interpret laws and policies affecting OFO programs, and develop actionable recommendations for leadership.
Duties include conducting in-depth studies, preparing high-impact reports and briefings, and coordinating implementation of approved changes across affected offices.
Major duties may include, but are not limited to: Developing, selecting, adapting, and employing advanced qualitative and quantitative techniques, methods, procedures, and systems to analyze, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of internal administrative operations, organizations, or management.
Preparing reports and briefs, and making recommendations to higher-level management. Reviewing information, reconciling conflicting data, and devising new or modified methods to analyze findings.
Recommending strategies to improve program implementation and evaluations.
Conducting in-depth studies, reviews, evaluations, and assessments of assigned program issues and proposals, and providing necessary coordination among key participants for long-range planning and development of strategies to meet objectives and mission.
