About the Position: This position is located in the Naval Health Clinic Patuxent River. The incumbent will serve as a Management Analyst who will work under Director of Resource Management.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Manage organizational reporting systems such as MEPRS, DMHRSi, or comparable civilian platforms to ensure accurate data reporting 2) Analyze Data Quality (DQ) performance metrics to evaluate organizational effectiveness .3) Conduct comprehensive evaluations of major clinical programs through analysis of healthcare data.

4) Develop standardized procedures governing the collection of all required data to support decision-making on quality or safety.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in electrical or electronic engineering, mathematics, physics, public utilities, statistics, computer science, telecommunications management, information systems management, business administration, industrial management, or other fields related to the position to be filled.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.

Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).

Major Duties:

• Ensuring the accuracy of data systems within the facility.
• Coordinating with the team responsible for data entry to establish and maintain a framework of policies
• Overseeing the analysis of data to identify quality issues.
• Providing reports on data quality concerns to senior management.
• Ensuring everyone in the command understands the importance of data quality to improve effectiveness.
