Full Job Description

The employee serves as the subject matter expert implementing the statutory requirements for the Risk Management and Internal Control (RMIC).

The employee also serves as the agency's Audit Liaison with he DOW Inspector General (IG) and the Government Accountability Office (GAO), and operates as the focal point for PFPA Hotline, Congressional inquiry and responses.

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability to 1.

Conduct internal audits, quality assurance assessments, and/or assessments of program implementation to prepare audit reports; and, 2.

Analyze program efficiencies using management control programs, strategic planning, and performance improvement theories to present information to senior leadership for decision-making; and, 3.

Oversee program implementation to ensure alignment with leadership directives and organizational mission.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Developing, implementing, maintaining, and providing oversight of the RMIC.

Analyzing and conducting management studies to improve organizational structures, functions, systems, programs, and processes for PFPA.

Assisting in planning, developing, and executing policy, plans, and procedures relating to the conduct of risk and vulnerability assessments.

Leading PFPA internal audit support efforts and providing periodic assessments of how efficiently PFPA entities are fulfilling leadership priorities.
