Base salary range: $74,441 - $96,770

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves supporting the hiring, onboarding, and performance management of high-level government executives and political appointees in the State Department's human resources bureau.
The role requires handling personnel actions, reviewing policies for efficiency, and providing advice to senior leaders on executive programs.
It's a good fit for someone with federal HR experience who enjoys detailed administrative work and helping streamline processes for top officials.
This position is located in the Bureau of Human Resources, Office of Civil Service Talent Management, Executive Resources and Performance Management Division (HR/CSTM/ERPM).
ERPM provides integrated executive policy and operational support services in a centralized location to the Senior Executive Service (SES), Senior Level (SL), Scientific and Professional (ST), Schedule C population, and the Department's Executive Resources Board (ERB).

Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5 CFR 300, Subpart F.
GS-12 Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience initiating and processing personnel actions in GEMS.
Experience assisting with onboarding functions of political/Schedule C appointees.
Experience supporting executive resource programs in the areas of recruitment and performance management for Senior Executive Service (SES)/Senior Level (SL) positions.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-12 position.
GS-13 Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience developing and interpreting HR policies, program objectives and procedures governing Political Appointments (Schedule C) and/or the SES positions.
Experience processing reassignments and promotions for political/Schedule C appointees.
Experience onboarding political/Schedule C appointees and reviewing program processes to maximize efficiency of functions.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position. Major Duties:
