Full Job Description

You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Talent Acquisition Team (Code 1102TA), Administrative Office (Code 1102), Executive Support Staff (Code 1100), of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience using analytical and evaluative methods and techniques for assessing program development or execution and improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

Experience providing recommendations for improvement through knowledge of measuring effectiveness, pertinent laws, regulations, policies, and precedents which affect the use of programs and related resources.

Experience attracting and identifying qualified candidates to fill open talent acquisition positions in a challenging maritime industrial base though project management skills.

Experience building a strong workforce by focusing on longer strategies to identify, assess, and recruit top talent, ensuring NNSY has the right people to achieve its goals.

  • You will utilize traditional and innovative methods to establish relationships with applicants through researching and utilizing various organizations and programs throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and all levels of government.
  • You will maintain a strong pipeline of students, recent graduates, and other early career talent.
  • You will attend community venues to present information and provide tabletop hands-on opportunities.
  • You will attend group and one­ on-one discussions to highlight the uniqueness and advantages of working for NNSY and dispel any misconceptions.
  • You will be present at the job fairs to provide support for applicants and directing candidates to the appropriate departments.
  • You will collect resumes for departments that are not participating and send the resumes to the appropriate department the following week.
  • You will be responsible for fostering connections and partnerships within the community.
