Requirements

In this position, you will engage in skilled journey-level tasks across various trades, including building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, and masonry, focusing on the construction, maintenance, and repair of park buildings, facilities, equipment, and natural resources.

Your responsibilities may include reaching out to vendors for price quotes, calculating the costs of supplies and equipment, estimating the man-hours needed for tasks, and preparing forms for supervisor review and approval.

Additionally, you will take on a leadership role, guiding semi-skilled laborers, laborers, and other team members throughout project completion.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits.

The season runs from approximately March 2025 until November 2025 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment March 2026.

  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • This position will require weekends and holidays as needed

  • Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

    • Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
    • Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
    • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.


    Special Requirements:

    • You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
