Full Job Description

Do you have general maintenance experience and are looking to put your skills to good use? We are seeking a hardworking and detailed Maintenance Repairman to perform maintenance, repair, and custodial duties at our department headquarters. Join our team today and play a key role in helping our facilities operate smoothly and safely.

Requirements

As a Maintenance Repairman 1, you will perform light maintenance and repair tasks such as painting, remodeling, masonry, and plumbing.

Additionally, you will perform custodial tasks such as cleaning floors, restrooms, indoor and outdoor trash, groundskeeping, and restocking supplies in designated areas.

You will be operating machinery and need to be able to lift heavy supplies/property.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• FREE PARKING!
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108.00 (before taxes).

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of experience in general maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
  
  

Additional Requirements:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
