Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will plan, coordinate, and/or conduct various product support actions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, or other designated program.
  • You will conduct varied support functions required to field and maintain the readiness and operational capability of assigned weapon systems, subsystems, and components.
  • You will utilize various evaluation tools to identify problems with and improve product support.
  • You will Implement various product support strategies in order to integrate the separate functions of design, analysis, maintenance planning, sustainment, and readiness to meet operational availability thresholds.
  • You will assist in developing life cycle support plans (LCSPs).
  • You will monitor, assess, and coordinate the conduct of Integrated Product Support (IPS) to ensure achievement of desired outcomes through development and implementation of appropriate product support arrangements.
  • You will determine progress in meeting IPS and program objectives and recommends the adjustment of resource allocations across product support integrators and product support providers.
  • You will assist in conducting cost-benefit analyses, studies, and product support strategy changes.
  • You will measure and evaluate (on a quantitative basis) program accomplishments, and compliance with meeting specific goals, objectives, rules, and regulations.
  • You will identify, review, and brief proposed recommendations in terms of their impact on overall program performance.
