This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. The purpose of this position is to serve as the Operations Officer of the Logistics Readiness Squadron/Flight.
Functions as the technical advisor as well as the supervisor of logistics readiness operations.
General Experience: Must have experience, education or training in the following: The ability to analyze and utilize good judgment in the logistics field Utilizing computer and automation systems Specialized Experience: Must have at least 36 months of experience, education, or training in the following: Identifying activities involving logistical support operations Integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities Monitoring functions (e.g.
Program planning, resource and fiscal management) to meet the logistic plan Identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions Working with people from various levels and backgrounds Major Duties:
As an LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER, GS-0346-12, you will: Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Advise and provide counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
Manage and perform work for providing training, resources, and systems to ensure the efficient and effective operation of installation deployment processes.
Ensure appropriate logistics readiness operation changes are implemented to enhance performance of command readiness operations.
Represent the wing regarding logistics readiness issues at meetings within the organization and at conferences with JFHQ-State, USPFO, NG, MAJCOM, HQ USAF, DoD, and other agencies.
Meetings and conferences in many cases are to negotiate mutually satisfactory agreements, to identify and resolve logistics readiness matters, and ensure concerted action by involved parties.
Plans, organizes, and maintains oversight of the activities of the Logistics Readiness Squadron/flight, ensuring the planning efforts and work products and services of all the squadron/flight functions comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.
As the squadron/flight technical advisor on logistics readiness and AEF issues, performs/leads studies, and provides technical advice and assistance on development and implementation of readiness mission capabilities.
Provides technical advice and assistance to wing leadership on business processes and performance and efficiency of logistics readiness functions of the squadron /flight as it impacts the Wing.
Performs other duties as assigned
