Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team in managing the sourcing, tracking, and delivery of materials for naval shipyard operations, ensuring everything arrives on time to keep production running smoothly.
You'll coordinate with various groups to solve supply challenges and analyze data to improve processes.

You will serve as a LEAD LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Material Sourcing Branch (Code 520.1) in the Material Sourcing Division (Code 520) for the Supply Department (Code 500) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with Public shipyard planning, acquisition, and management processes.
Experience and understanding of supply market as it relates to shipyard operations. Experience coordinating with multiple organizations on complex and controversial supply issues.
Experience in analysis/investigation/resolution/reporting of supply sourcing issues and trends.
Experience serving as supply chain liaison for an agency, ensuring material is ordered, expedited, and received to support production schedules.
Experience in managing logistics activities/personnel within a work group for material support.
Experience interpreting and maintaining documentation and reference material including policy/ guidelines/technical documents and serving as liaison for the proper distribution of information.
