To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing at least ALL of the following: Participating in the coordination and oversight of the operational readiness related to the following areas: inventory management, procurements, vendors, storage facilities, and contracts to support stockpile missions.
Providing advice or assistance for the development of contracts. Developing emergency response or logistical plans, protocols or standard operating procedures for execution of logistics functions.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Logistics Management Specialist, you will use your knowledge of and experience with to optimize business results and customer experience by: Responsible for the procurement, storage, sustainment, inventory, accounting, and transport of SNS assets comprised of antibiotics, chemical antidotes, vaccines, antitoxins, and other medical supplies and equipment that are designed to support state and local public health agencies in the event of a biological/chemical terrorist incident or other natural disaster or emergency situation in any location in the U.S.
at any time. Finalizes emergency response and logistical plans, protocols, and standard operating procedures for execution of complex and evolving logistics function.
Serves as subject matter expert in SNS logistical planning and in responding to inquiries or requests for technical assistance from other agencies, states or local governments, emergency responders, etc.
Participates actively in policy development or modification efforts within the SNS.
