Base salary range: $104,604 - $135,987

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading efforts to protect and restore the Long Island Sound through managing partnerships, implementing environmental plans, and speaking on behalf of the EPA to various groups.
It's a senior leadership role focused on coordinating projects, building consensus among stakeholders, and achieving conservation goals.
A good fit would be someone with strong experience in environmental management, team leadership, and communicating complex ideas to diverse audiences.
This position is in Region 2, Water Division, Watershed Management Branch.

In addition to the basic entry education requirements, you must have specialized experience and/or directly related education as described below: To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level defined as leading a team or project within an environmental protection program; maintaining relationships with and building consensus among diverse stakeholders; and presenting technical information and policy alternatives to a variety of audiences.

You will: Manage, direct, and coordinate activities intended to facilitate accomplishment of the Long Island Sound Partnership (LISP) Management Conference objectives.
Develop support necessary for and assist in the implementation and achievement of environmental goals as stipulated in the LISP Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan (CCMP).
Serves as the Agency's principal spokesperson for the LISP. One or more positions may be filled (in the organization advertised and/or in other organizations), if appropriate to the position.
