This job involves working as a licensed psychologist in a state psychiatric hospital, where you'll assess patients' mental health through interviews, tests, and observations, then create treatment plans and lead therapy sessions to help those with mental illnesses recover.
You'll also supervise interns and keep detailed records.

As a Licensed Psychologist, you will provide psychological services to patients receiving treatment in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting.
You will evaluate the psychological strengths and weaknesses of individuals by reviewing medical and social case histories, conducting personal interviews, and observing behaviors, emotions, and physical conditions.
You will also administer and interpret intelligence, neuropsychological, social development, and other psychological testing to diagnose individual psychological disorders and formulate plans for psychological treatment.
This role requires the ability attain patient treatment goals, as well as a genuine desire to improve patient psychological behaviors.
In addition, you will oversee psychology interns, conduct group and individual therapy sessions, and maintain required documentation in the Electronic Heath Care Record (EHR).
