The Department of Human Services is actively seeking a dedicated and accomplished Licensed Psychologist Director to lead our treatment program team.
In this key role, you will oversee the comprehensive planning, organization, direction, control, and evaluation of all treatment and therapeutic initiatives for the Sexual Responsibility and Treatment Program at Torrance State Hospital.

In this position, you will oversee and guide psychological service programs to ensure that clinical protocols and therapies specific to sex offenses align with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of the treatment program for clients in residential care.
Your duties include maintaining sex offense-specific treatment program operations in accordance with secure civil commitment treatment standards, using the latest methodologies, and ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, rules, regulations, and program policies.
You will ensure the unit functions efficiently and effectively both clinically and programmatically while adhering to administrative, fiscal, and security guidelines.
Additionally, you will evaluate professional training needs to support treatment staff competence in fulfilling their duties and collaborate with the training director to coordinate relevant training.
This role requires making independent routine decisions based on professional expertise, job knowledge, and competence.
