Requirements

In this position, you will utilize independent judgement in the planning, directing, and implementing of programs for the consumers at the hospital.

This is done through developing annual department goals, as well as creating and prioritizing studies and projects. You will also assign, review, and evaluate subordinate work efforts.

Your work will involve performing psychological testing to facilitate diagnostic clarification and treatment planning.

Some of your duties will include counseling and training staff, serving as a liaison for the hospital with education programs, and ensuring the delivery of psychological services.

Additionally, you will serve as a Patient Abuse Investigator and conduct investigations when abuse is reported.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
  • Overtime and travel as needed

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year as a Licensed Psychologist Manager (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years as a Licensed Psychologist, MH or a Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) one year of which must have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or
  • Two years of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness and/or intellectual disability, one year of which must have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity.

Special Requirement:

You must be in possession of a current license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of psychology or possession of a current license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board.
